Our history

The Mantuan lands reclaimed by the Gonzagas in the 1500s attracted the Galvani family of Florence who built the Corte Galvagnina around 1620. The farmhouse has the typical structure of the Lombard courts: the large farmyard in the center is surrounded to the west by stables and barns, to the north by residential buildings and to the east by the vegetable garden and chicken coops.

The agricultural court saw the alternation of various families until the arrival of the Ferrari family, which still leads it for more than a century and four generations. About 25 years ago the helm passed to Vanni, who changed course and transformed the courtyard into an educational farm. Since then, numerous children have come to discover colours, scents and flavours of nature in the various seasons.

Now we are turning page again, offering our spaces to the children of yesterday and today, to immerse themselves in a bucolic environment where they can relax and take care of themselves.

Our activities

We offer three rooms with private bathroom and a shared kitchen. There are indoor and outdoor spaces available for seminars and gatherings immersed in nature.

The area lends itself to cycle tourism thanks to the flat landscape and the presence of dedicated routes along the Po and Oglio rivers.

We also offer educational activities for kindergarten and primary school children.

The farmhouse offers the opportunity to stay in the rooms located in the building adjacent to the main house. There are three bedrooms, two of which are quadruple and one double, each with a private bathroom and heat pump to keep a pleasant temperature inside. The guest house features a common kitchen and a private entrance. The large yard and the pergolas in front of the house allow you to relax with a good book in the sun and have your meals in the shade.

SPACES FOR MEETINGS

Our farm takes advantage of the ancient spaces originally used for agricultural activities. The large yard and patio are available for outdoor events, while the old barn can be used when the weather is bad.

For example, yoga, pilates or yoga classes or seminars of various kinds can be organized. We have a changing room area equipped with toilets.

CYCLING

Located 18 km south of Mantua and 2 km on the north bank of the Po river, the structure is the ideal stop for tourists on two wheels who want to combine outdoor activities and discovery of the territory. The court is located on the Po cycle path which is part of the Eurovelo 8 route that connects Cadiz to Athens. Furthermore, it is located near the Eurovelo 7 itinerary, which connects Europe from the North Cape to Malta. Furthermore, we are 2 km from the arrival of the Oglio cycle path. For guests on two wheels we offer a secure storage for bicycles and tools for maintenance and minor repairs.

TEACHING

For 25 years we have been offering educational activities for kindergarten and primary schools. In spring and autumn it is possible to choose between the different programs (the wheat cycle, the discovery of the forest, the corn cycle).
